Even though the ending of the series did not leave the most pleasant impressions, like the last season as a whole, it was my first and most favorite series. An exciting, rapidly developing plot that throws up unexpected twists and turns over and over again, suspense, the atmosphere of a mysterious island, as well as witty and philosophical dialogues. This is how a superficial description of the series will sound, but more is not required. Because, firstly, everyone already knows everything about him, and if not, then run and look. Secondly, today we will not talk about him, but about a game based on. In 2008, craftsmen from Ubisoft set out to bring the adventures of our favorite characters into the gaming industry. The second thing that catches your eye is the new main character, the developers do not give us control of the main character of the series, but introduce a completely new protagonist. And here, somewhere after 2 hours, the game begins to present the bitterness of disappointment in two of the most important aspects at once. Firstly, the plot itself and the characters. Don’t get me wrong, if you look at the plot in isolation from the series, it is good, but if you compare it with the original source… First, it has very little connection with the series. Let’s just say that the entire game is focused on the personal story of a new protégé, endowed with amnesia, and the main events of the series revolve somewhere in the background. We will take part in them briefly, but most of them are described in words. Secondly, the story is not so deeply written, and the characters and dialogues are just a song.

The entire island is divided into tiny, corridor locations, in which there is de facto nothing to do at all. It would be much cooler if the island was large and open, it could be filled with interesting side quests. Just imagine, you are wandering around the island and come across John Locke, who is preparing an ambush for the boars, and then the quest begins. It would be possible to come up with something similar with each of the characters, but no, instead we are invited to wander along the corridors, where we can hide from the deadly black smoke in the bushes, or collect coconuts and bottles of water, which is also completely unnecessary. There is no need to eat or drink here, and water and food here serve as currency for which you can buy cartridges (which is useless, 1-2 clips are enough for the whole game) or light sources (which is also useless). The funniest thing happened to the second one. A typical situation is that before the entrance to the cave Michael gives a lighter, the gas in which will never run out, before the second cave Locke gives a torch, and in front of the third there is a lamp.
So it turns out that there is nothing in the game other than running back and forth, but this is not entirely true. The developers decided to at least somehow diversify the gameplay, so they stuffed the game with primitive and identical puzzles on the supply of current.
These are found in almost every chapter, and all as one. Also often our hero will catch flashbacks, where we need to photograph something very important that will help restore lost memory. Sometimes there will be enemies on our way who fall dead after one shot and pose no threat.
Probably, all fans of the series are concerned about one more question: what is the situation with the atmosphere?? But it’s surprisingly good.
